The Ghani is a heavy indica strain, named short for Afghani (land or origin: Afghanistan). It is said to come from an area in the mountains of Afghanistan that is known for its heavy, resinous pure original Afghani strains. The Ghani was one of the first pure Afghani indica strains to make it on the scene in the early 1970’s. The Ghani is popular for its dense bud production, heavy resin output, and use for hashish production. While many popular Afghani strains today have been crossbred to gather more favorable traits for Western growing conditions (a more balanced indica/sativa cross), the Ghani remains as one of the original pure indica breeds.
The Ghani is a pure Afghani strain and thus an indica dominant strain (95% indica).
The Ghani has a short flowering time compared to other strains: 45-55 days
(7 weeks=49 days).
The Ghani’s user effects are: happy, relaxed, euphoric, sleepy, and hungry. The Ghani’s primary medical benefits have been reported for stress disorders, insomnia, pain, depression, and lack of appetite.
